"Denial" contains the best material on the global political implications of Peak Oil, how 9/11 was facilitated to provide the pretext for the U.S. invasion of Iraq and the threat of a World War over the remaining oil supplies. It is film that contains spliced together excerpts of speeches by Michael Ruppert from several lectures in 2004 and 2005. It is not a fancy documentary with exciting graphics, and it is not a guide to personal solutions (for growing potatoes in your yard or putting solar panels on your roof). "Denial" is the best presentation on the interconnections between Peak Oil and 9/11.

The film looks at both the human cost and the greater geo-stratic picture of George Bush's "War on Terror". With solid facts and figures, maps, graphics and original footage shot on location. It features such personalities as Zbigniew Brzezinski, Michael Ruppert, Noam Chomsky, The Project for a New American Century Director Gary Schmitt, best-seller 'Taliban' author Ahmed Rashid and the Pentagon's own Karen Kwiotkowski. A must see for anyone who wants to understand what is really at stake with today's "War on Terror". Narrated by Ed Asner. A full length movie that explores nearly every aspect of the Peak Oil wars (including a short, succinct chapter about Peak Oil).
Peak Oil: Imposed by Nature

A half hour Norwegian documentary mostly focused on retired petroleum geologist Colin Campbell, the founder of the Association for the Study of Peak Oil. Includes interviews with Michael Ruppert, Matthew Simmons and others. Entertaining but not comprehensive. It is short enough that it can be shown to an audience in conjunction with another presentation - or to spark lively dialogue about how communities can mitigate the inevitable impacts.

A 2006 film from Ireland that connects the Peak Oil and 9/11 issues. The first half of the film interviews key Peak Oil writers such as Richard Heinberg, Julian Darley and Colin Campbell. The second half is focused on 9/11 complicity, but unfortunately it interviews people pushing the "no plane" disinformation (former Lyndon LaRouche political operative Webster Tarpley, who says Peak Oil doesn't exist, American Free Press writer Christopher Bollyn, who has been a frequent guest on KKK leader David Duke's radio show, and Phil Berg, who filed a federal lawsuit against President Bush claiming missiles were fired at the WTC and Pentagon).
9/11 and Peak Oil are inseperable issues, but unfortunately this film is much better at documenting the Peak Oil aspect of these issues than the 9/11 complicity connection. A good documentary connecting the dots between 9/11 complicity and Peak Oil does not yet exist.
